Sponsoring A Young
Bonpo Monk’s Higher Education Project
Since 2003, Yuan Yuan
Educational Foundation has started a fundraising drive to raise
funding for young monks’ higher education at the Dialectic School of
the Menri Monastery of the Tibetan Bon lineage. A much appreciated
thank you to many kind hearts at Yuan Yuan, our effort produced enough
funding to sponsor 23 young Bonpo monks the first year.

A Pilgrimage Trip to India Project: Teacher Ho Lynn
and students visited Menri Monastery near Dolanji, India. Menri
Monastery is the main monastery of the Tibetan Bon Tradition I all of
Tibet as well as the Tibetan exile community in India. The group was
hosted warmly by Menri Monastery’s 33rd Abbott His Holiness Trizin
Lungtok Tenpei Nyima Rinpoche and Ponlob Trinley Nyima Rinpoche, Lopon
of the Dialectic School. Purpose of this trip were (1) to experience
the monastic life (2) to learn about the Tibetan Bon history and
culture (3) to understand the needs of the Bon community (4) to show
our foundation’s genuine support toward their monk’s higher education. |
