Sponsoring a Young Bonpo Monk’s Higher Education
Project
Yuan-Yuan Educational Foundation (YYEF) is proud to announce that our
monk-sponsorship program has made into its 5th year since its
embankment in 2003. For the year period of 2007-2008, a total of 80
young Bon monks are under our program’s sponsorship.
The dollar-a-day, tax-deductible campaign provides funding for young
Bon monks to gain a higher education. All of these monks are currently
enrolled at the Dialectic School of the Menri Monastery located near
Solan, India.
Our on-going drive is to sponsor at least 100 monks. To reach our
targeted goal, we ask for your compassionate commitment in joining us.

Your generous donation will cover monks’ educational supplies, medical
expenses, clothing, and food. These monks spend an average of 15 years
to acquire a highly acclaimed Geshe degree, which is equivalent to a
Ph.D degree in the West. The Dialectic School of the Menri Monastery,
under the guidance of His Holiness Menri Trizin Rinpoche and Lopon
Menri Ponlob Rinpoche, is regarded as the best academic institution of
the Tibetan Bon tradition worldwide. The Geshe graduated from this
Dialectic School are the seeds of harmony and peace of our world.
